The well-received Sony WH-1000XM5 is now in Midnight Blue from April 2023. Since the launch of the WH-1000XM5 last year, the model has been lauded for its noise cancellation and sound quality. And now Sony is offering the popular WH-1000XM5 in a new Midnight Blue colour.
Sony also announced a new entry-level noise cancelling wireless earphone set in the Sony WF-C700N, read more on that here.
New Colour in Town
Midnight Blue joins Black and Silver in the Sony WH-1000XM5 lineup. Sony WH-1000XM5 uses two processors that control eight microphones. This setup is designed to tackle outside noise, especially in the mid-high frequency range.
An Auto NC Optimizer also automatically optimises noise cancellation, depending on the environment.

The set can last for up to 30 hours on a single charge and comes with a collapsible carrying case to keep them safe in your bag.
High-Fidelity
The 30mm driver unit was specially designed by Sony to improve high frequency sensitivity for more natural sound quality. The sound unit uses a light and rigid dome that uses a carbon fibre composite material.
Sony WH-1000MX5 delivers High-Resolution Audio, with and without the wires. The set uses Sony’s industry-adopted audio coding technology, LDAC for the bandwidth needed for Hi-Res audio wire-free.
