Despite being on the market for over two years, Sony’s PlayStation 5 console is still hard to find in Ireland. With Santy lists being written up and down the country after RTÉ’s The Late Late Toy Show, TechStomper has done its homework and made it easy for parents and omnipotent present distributors alike to find one. PlayStation 5 Irish Pricing
There are two models of PS5 on sale right now. The PlayStation 5 which costs €549.99 and the PS5 Digital Edition which costs €449.99.

The regular model, the more expensive of the two, has been harder to find for the last two years. This trend continues in Ireland into Christmas 2022.
Argos – PlayStation 5 Available for Store Pick-Up at Selected Stores
Argos Ireland currently carry listings for three PS5 units. The God of War: Ragnarok Bundle at €619.99 is available is a number of stores and customers are advised to check stock at their local store.
As of writing, there are two God of War: Ragnarok Bundles available in Galway Argos, four currently available in Letterkenny Argos. There are five God of War: Ragnarok Bundles available in Waterford Argos.
The PlayStation 5 with disc-drive at €549.99 is not available to reserve in any of their Irish branches as of 13 December 2022.
The Digital Edition PS5 is listed at €449.99 is also not currently available in any Irish Argos branches.
However, there are no options to order online for delivery or collection nor is there any information on store stock levels.
Currys Ireland PS5 Stock
Currys Ireland currently list two PS5 bundles.
A PlayStation 5 with God of War Ragnarok at €619 is available for delivery around Ireland and for collection at selected stores.
A PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with FIFA23 at €519.99 is also available for delivery around Ireland and for collection at selected stores.
A charge of €6.99 applies to home delivery.
Very Ireland (Formerly Littlewoods) Deliver Before Christmas
Very are offering two PS5 bundles for delivery after Christmas on 30 December 2022.
Five bundles have already sold out.
PlayStation 5 with God of War Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales at €651.98 is available for delivery on 30 December 2022.
God of War: Ragnarok bundle at €624.99 is available for delivery on 30 December 2022.
A bundle with both God of War: Ragnarok andThe Last of Us: Part I is available from Very Ireland at €674.98 is now sold out.
PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with Just Dance 2022 Download Code at €474.98 is now sold out.
The Last of Us: Part I Remastered bundle at €599.98 is now also sold out online.
PlayStation 5 with an additional DualSense controller at €719.99 is now sold out.
The PS5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare bundle is available at €719.99 is now sold out.
PS5 at Smyths Toys Ireland
Smyths Toys do not currently sell PlayStation 5 online but offer a handy store checker to allow you to find a store online, check stock levels and store opening hours.
A God of War: Ragnarok PS5 Bundle is listed at Smyths Toys for €619.99 but is currently sold out online and in all stores.
The €549.99 PlayStation 5 model is in short supply and is also sold out online and instore.
The €449.99 PS5 Digital Edition is currently also sold out online and instore.
Smyths Toys Ireland list PlayStation 5, PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 God of War Ragnarok bundles as back in stock “December 2022”.
Harvey Norman Ireland PlayStation 5 Bundles Available for Collection or Delivery from 5th January 2023
The electronics retailer is taking orders for a €779 PlayStation 5 bundle which includes God of War: Ragnarok and a second PS5 DualSense Controller. Harvey Norman says that the units will be available for home delivery or collection from 5th January 2023.
Harvey Norman is also taking orders for a €715 PlayStation 5 bundle which includes God of War: Ragnarok and a DualSense Charging Station. The retailer says that the units will be available for home delivery or collection from 5th January 2023.
A third bundle, the €685 PlayStation 5 Bundle includes God of War: Ragnarok and a PS5 camera is also available for home delivery or collection from 5th January 2023.
GameStop Ireland Sell Out of PlayStation 5 Consoles
GameStop Ireland restocked with PS5 FIFA 23 bundles on Friday 25 November but quickly sold out.
By the afternoon, GameStop Ireland’s website didn’t even list the console for sale, nor do they offer any info on restock. A banner in place of their PS5 Console page simply reads: “We’re sorry, we’re now sold out”.
The store asks shoppers to check again soon.
Tesco Out of PS5 Stock Across Ireland
Tesco Ireland are currently ‘out of stock’ with no word on the units coming back to store shelves.
