OPPO Portrait Expert 2x 3x optical zoom

OPPO Reno10 Ireland Release Date Confirmed

OPPO has announced an Irish release date for their Reno10 smartphone. Reno10 was announced in July 2023 and released in certain markets later that month. OPPO Reno10 will go on sale in Ireland on 1st September with no price yet fixed for its Irish debút.

The OPPO Reno series sits in the mid-range of smartphones and generally aims for advanced camera performance in a premium design. OPPO Reno10 is the latest device under the company’s ‘Portrait Expert’ umbrella.

OPPO Portrait Expert

Reno10’s key portrait credentials come from its 32MP telephoto lens lens with 2x optical zoom. The Sony IMX 709 RGBW sensor is a great base for the portait pretensions of the device.

OPPO Reno10 Portrait Expert filters

From there, OPPO have added a series of effects and filters, including depth of field adjustment, to give portraits some pop.

Better still, the same suite of portrait software features are present on the 32MP front-facing camera.

Value Proposition

Like Reno8 before it, OPPO Reno10 offers some upmarket features to bolster the value proposition in the cut-throat middle of the market. The device offers 24-bit, 192kHz audio along with a 10-bit colour AMOLED at FHD+ in 20:9 aspect ratio.

OPPO Reno10 SuperVOOC 2.0 PD3

Predecessor OPPO Reno8 featured an excellent display at its price, matching premium panels in most respects. The adoption of the PD3 fast charging protocol means that the 67W maximum speed can be achieved with any other makers’ chargers capable of 67W or more.

The provision of Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 is another a premium detail, this time offering peace of mind instead of a ‘wow’ factor. More peace of mind comes from the Battery Health Engine.

Premium Reliability

Introduced for the OPPO Reno8 line, the Battery Health Engine carefully monitors your battery to offer 80% of its capacity after 1,600 cycles – that’s over 4 years, charging single day. And should you keep your Reno10 for four years, the device should run almost as smoothly as when it was brand new.

The proprietary Dynamic Computing Engine is a system-level monitoring technology that constantly works to maintain the device’s stability and fluency with the company testing the device’s smoothness over a simulated four-year period.
