Could GTA III, Vice City And San Andreas Be Set For A Remaster Collection?

According to a leaker, Rockstar Games could be set to give the remaster treatment to the legendary GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas.

This is just the latest leak after it was revealed last month that Rockstar could potentially be diving into their world-class backlog with the likes of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas, for a remastered collection.

This leak comes after well-known members from a GTA forum let slip with a bunch of teases. As reported on Gamingbible.co.uk, “User and insider Mach1bud kicked things off by writing “soon” in a seemingly innocent thread. A little after that, WildBrick142 hinted that Mach was leaking in the wrong thread, to which Mach responded that it was intentional. He said if he put the tease in the right thread, would have been too obvious. The thread was subsequently tagged with ‘GTA III’, “GTA VC’ and ‘GTA SA’.”

GTA Remaster
GTA V has sold over 140 million units since it launched in 2013 and is set to get a remaster-of-sorts in 2021

According to these users, the reveal would be coming soon potentially at the online E3 2021. Although Rockstar is rarely seen these days at E3, instead preferring to break the internet by casually posting updates and reveals on their social media channels.

But, with GTA VI looking years away yet, and the expanded and enhanced version of GTA V launching later this year on PS5 and Xbox Series X, E3 2021 could be ideal. Head on over to GTA Base for a full rundown on the potential remaster release and like always take these rumours with a pinch of salt before they’re confirmed by Rockstar themselves.
