3goo has released its new arcade racer 4PGP on PlayStation 5 and Steam, with the game priced at €19.99 in Europe. The title is also available on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, with all versions receiving feature parity following a free update for the Nintendo platforms.
4PGP is pitched as a modern take on 90s Japanese arcade racers. The project includes design input from Kenji Sasaki, known for his work on Sega Rally and Ridge Racer. The soundtrack is also composed by Tomoyuki Kawamura, whose credits include Virtua Racing and Tokyo Xtreme Racer.
PlayStation 5 and Steam versions launch with several upgrades. These include full analogue acceleration and braking, multiple control profiles on PS5. It also includes full button and key mapping on Steam, and 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. A new unlockable Safety Car has been added, and Steam players can use Remote Play for online multiplayer sessions.
Nintendo Switch Upgrade
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 4PGP received a free update that adds analogue inputs through a new R Stick profile. The update also supports Hori’s MK Racing Wheel Pro Deluxe and Pro Mini. refinements to AI behaviour and collision physics.

4PGP supports up to four players in local split‑screen across Championship and Quick Race modes. Time Attack is available for solo players chasing perfect laps in the spirit of the arcade legends of yore. The game also includes four difficulty settings, Rookie to Expert, along with an Assist Mode aimed at younger or inexperienced players.
Players can unlock 14 circuits and a roster of 20 vehicles by progressing through the 4PGP game’s modes.

Quanah Sugiyama, Project Manager explained the changes: “Based on feedback from users, the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of 4PGP have been refined to create a more accessible experience for newcomers while offering a more rewarding challenge for advanced players.”
