This afternoon, Xiaomi unveiled their much anticipated Redmi Note 10 series of devices with the addition of a 108MP camera and a 120hz AMOLED DotDisplay screen among the highlights.
In total, Xiaomi is launching 4 devices, the Redmi Note 10, 10S, 10 Pro and 10 5G with availability differing depending on what market you’re in.
We’ll start with the Note 10 Pro, shall we? The flagship phone of the series pushes some seriously impressive specs for what you’ll end up paying. You get a 6.67″ 120hz AMOLED DotDisplay screen usually found in phones for double or triple the price. That screen will be covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect it from unsightly scratches.
A massive 108mp rear camera will open up a whole new world for mobile photographers usually confined to €800+ phones. Night Mode 2.0 powered by RAW multi-frame algorithm will allow you to create stunning shots at night. The Redmi Note 10 Pro will also offer telemacro and Pro time-lapse video for those creative folks out there. Other camera additions include photo clones, video clones, Dual Video and a long exposure mode.
The Qualcomm SnapDragon 732G processor will handle pretty much every task with ease as it has been designed for high-end gaming. A massive 5020 mAh battery should last you at least a day, but if it doesn’t you’ll have super-fast 33W charging. You can choose from Onyx Gray, Glacier Blue and Gradient Bronze with your choice of 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB or 8GB+128GB.
The Redmi Note 10 5G and 10S are no slouches either. The Note 5G has an adaptive sync 6.5″ DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate which allows the screen to automatically change refresh rate depending on the content you’re viewing. The Note 10S has the standard 60hz with a 6.43″ AMOLED Display. Xiaomi decided to use MediaTek processors for these 2 cheaper devices with the MediaTek Helio G95 and the Dimensity 700 processor for the Redmi Note 10 S and 10 5G respectively.
Redmi Note 10S will have a 64MP camera with the Note 10 5G having a 48MP main camera. The Note 10 Pro and 10 S will sport a quad-camera setup on the rear with one less on the Note 10 5G.
All three devices will have LPDD4X AND UFS2.2 storage. All three devices also have side-mounted fingerprint sensors for added security. The Note 10S and 5G have ever so slightly smaller batteries at 5000mAh with support for 33W charging and 18W charging respectively. The Note 5G will have 4GB/6GB +64GB/128GB variants while the Redmi Note 10S will storage/RAM option as the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro will launch in Ireland and the rest of Europe at the start of April, with Euro pricing revealed closer to launch. The 10S and 105G will launch in Q2 this year.
