Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G/5G Cleared for Launch

Xiaomi looks set to launch not one but two Mi 11 Lite variants of its 2020 flagship Mi11 after it was reportedly certified by the Singaporean regulator IMDA.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will seemingly have both 4G and 5G versions. According to the pixel, it’ll have a very similar look to its flagship big brother, Xiaomi Mi 11.

So what can we expect in terms of specs from these Lite variants? The cheaper 4G device looks set to have a flat LCD screen compared to Mi 11’s curved OLED. It’ll also have the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor while the 5G version will have the yet-to-be-announced 775G processor.

The Mi 11 Lite 5G could have a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. We don’t know yet how much both these devices will cost but with the Mi11 costing around €700, I’d expect these to be around €350-€400. Though this might be a little high for an LCD-screened device.

Red Letter Day

It’s a big week for Xiaomi as they’re set to reveal the much-hyped Redmi K4O + Pro models on February 25. If you’ve never heard of the K series of phones, the K30 launched in Europe as the POCO F2 Pro. These devices sport flagship-level specs for about half the price you’d usually pay.

The K40 series will also have two variants with both using high-end processors. The Redmi K40 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 while the Pro model will use the top of the line Snapdragon 888.

Does Mi 11 Lite make the right compromises to hit the pricing sweetspot? Has the two-step camera arrangement of the Mi 11 series grown on you yet?
