Sky Glass, the TV from Sky with the entire service built in, will launch in Ireland at the end of August with pricing confirmed for three sizes of 4K television unit.

The service will launch in Ireland on Thursday, 25th August 2022 with pre-orders now open at www.sky.ie/skyglass.

The three television sizes are 43″, 55″ and 65″, each runs a resolution of 4K using a Quantum Dot matrix to offer 1 billion colours.

The sets are HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision compatible. Additionally, each set runs 360° Dolby Atmos with a built-in sub woofer.

Standing Alone

The Sky TV service and all of the apps are fed via Wi-Fi rather than using a Sky satellite box, opening the service up to anyone with reliable internet.

Furthermore, Sky have streamlined their content delivery services by placing all content from each media app in one place to save you trawling through each app.

The Sky Glass units also come with voice commands built-in, a simple ‘Hello Sky’ will bring your TV to life.

The unit runs from just one cable, offering a simple clutter-free setup. The sets come on five colours and feature a striking, modern design. The remote and TV stand are colour matched with the unit.

Sky Glass TV Pricing

Customers can buy Sky Glass by paying in full up front or by spreading the cost with interest-free monthly payments.

Sky Glass starts from €15 per month for the 43” Sky Glass TV. For just €5 more, you can increase the size of your TV to a 55”, or you can choose the 65” Sky Glass TV for €26 per month.

Sky Glass comes with a full two-year warranty and a free delivery service that includes unboxing and packaging removal.

Sky Glass is the world’s first TV to be certified carbon neutral. The set also comes with an array of low-power features built in, such as auto-switch-off and auto-screen brightness helping it to be more energy efficient.

And, the company claims that since Sky Glass has everything built in, you reduce electricity consumption by up to 50%.
