World’s First Innovation

One of the most striking features of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is its 4MP under-display camera. While some companies have shown prototypes of the tech, Samsung has gotten theirs to a global market first. Our preview showed how hard it is to spot the hidden lens, and while it’s a modest 4MP sensor, the elegant first-time execution is indeed impressive. The under-display lens offers the full 7.6 QXGA display with no island, notch or punch-hole to interrupt it.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is now just 12.1mm thick when folded, meaning it’s more pocketable. At just 5.6mm thick when unfolded, it’s also a little easier to hold in one hand in this mode.

Samsung AI will feature from Day One on both Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. In our review of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, we were impressed by the robust AI assistant and imaging features.

Key Z Flip6 Improvement

One area which our long-term review of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 hoped for improvement was in its stamina. While the device put in a respectable shift, next to other Samsung devices, it could fall a few hours short under load. With a 4,000mAh battery, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 should give users a little more juice for the busier days.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 size gap battery key feature

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 boasted a ‘no gap’ fold which largely kept pocket dust out. Having no gap also made the device feel more robust and substantial while folded. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has improved on the design further with a tighter fold and even fewer micro-gaps for fine dust to make its way inside.
