OPPO have officially launched their Reno8 Series in Europe at an event in Paris. The Chinese electronics giant unveiled three models in the series: Reno8, premium Reno8 Pro and afforabled Reno8 Lite. The company also announced local pricing and gave details on release dates and model availability at the show.
The series is the latest generation of Reno, OPPO’s imaging-focused upper mid-range smartphones.

The company introduced the new series to European customers focusing on the slim unibody design and “stand-out aesthetic”.
OPPO Reno8 Series en Vogue
The flat rear with chamfered edges of Reno8 make the ultra-slim devices easy to hold, despite the slimmest bezels of any Reno series to date.
OPPO Reno8 is a svelte 8.3mm thick and 179g and comes in arresting ‘Shimmer Gold’ and ‘Shimmer Black’. Each wears a faint shimmering material inset in its Gorilla Glass front and rear.
OPPO Reno8 Pro is a waif at just 7.67mm thick and weighs 183g. The 6.7″ AMOLED display features a refresh rate up to 120Hz. That big bright screen is wrapped in a ‘Glazed Green’ and ‘Glazed Black’. The company stress the fingerprint resistance of their Reno8 Series.
Reno8 and Reno8 Pro both feature OPPO’s innovative Battery Health Engine which they say allows the device to reach 1,600 charging cycles. This is double the current average lifetime of a smartphone battery.
The pair also feature the company’s latest 80W SuperVOOC wired charging as seen on OPPO Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. With the supplied charger, users can charge from 0 to 50% in around 10 minutes, and from 0-100% in around 30 minutes.
OPPO Reno8 Lite is the cost-effective entry-level to the series. The device comes with competitive specs and some marvelous features for its market. 6.4″ AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM and an expandable 128GB is matched with a 4,500mAh battery.
Lite adopters can take advantage of 33W SuperVOOC charging technology. The device also boasts three years of Android security updates as the company acknowledges the public’s desire to keep their phones longer. IPX4 dust and water resistance will help keep your phone longer too.
Mid-Range Photo Excellence
OPPO Reno8 Series is equipped with exceptional low-light imaging capabilities. Reno8 and Reno8 Pro features hardware similar to the well-received Find X5 Series, including a Sony IMX766 and OPPO. Reno8 Pro comes with Find X5 series house-developed imaging NPU, MariSilicon X.
OPPO Reno8 series promises ultra-clear photography and videography, even in the most challenging lighting conditions.

OPPO Reno8 Series will be available in Ireland and across Europe in September 2022.
