OPPO announced several devices amongst their INNO Day 2022 tech show. However, the showstoppers within the line-up were foldables OPPO Find N2 and Find N2 Flip. And while there were many figures, concepts and specs to marvel over, the one that may make the difference is one we take for granted in other form factors – the weight.
Pocket-Led
Price was once the biggest factor holding back the style. The experimental nature of the devices made them expensive. The delicate builds and reports of frequent failure surely made that cost seem even riskier to the average Android user looking for a daily driver.
In just a few short years, premium foldables prices have come down to near those of flagship ‘pro’ models. The hurdle is now the pocketability of the device. After a decade of the candybar form, something thicker and heavier takes some getting used to.

OPPO Find N2 tackles this with a phenomenal weight 233 or 237 grams. The Vegan Leather Black model is the lighter of the designs on offer. Combined with a relatively svelte 14.6mm thickness, the heft and volume of Find N2 isn’t far off a non-foldable device.
OPPO Find N2 is massive step in the right direction for the pocketability of the book-style foldable. OPPO’s flagship foldable is over 1mm thinner than the main foldable competition and a substantial 30 grams lighter.
Capture Consistent
Find N2 featuers a triple camera system with Hasselblad tuning and OPPO’s MariSilicon X dedicated imaging NPU. FlexForm allows for an enhanced shooting experience that takes advantage of the folding form. You can prop the camera up for a perfect selfie or make fine adjustments to your videos on-the-fly without missing the action.
The main triple cam setup is led by a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 flagship-level sensor. This is supported by 48MP ultra-wide camera that can that can be also used as a macro. And a 32MP RGBW 2x telephoto camera with enhanced noise reduction.
Displays
OPPO have used carbon fibre in the display to allow the device to be folded up to 400,000 times. This is double the test number of their previous effort. The carbon fibre also aided the company is shaving some weight from the device.

Both the outer and inner displays of OPPO Find N2 run up to a 120Hz refresh rate with the inner screen using LTPO variable frame technology.
The 7.1-inch inner display rocks a near-square 9:8.4 aspect ratio. The AMOLED panel can reach 1550 nits at peak brightness and is covered with an anti-reflective film to improve outdoor visibility.
The 5.54-inch outer display can hit 1,350nits at peak brightness according to OPPO. The outer display features a shrunken bezel, reduced 47% over its previous model.
Custom Color
OPPO Find N2 uses a customised operation system based on ColorOS 13 that was designed specifically for the the the dual-screen foldable format.
Two-finger swipe split-screen returns with some improvements over the original Find N. The system sees two-finger swipe down the middle of the inner screen activate a split-screen view.
When in split-screen view, you can easily take a screenshot of one or both of your apps. A simple three-finger swipe down on the left or right side will screenshot that app, while a three-finger swipe down the middle will capture the entire split-screen view.
FlexForm mode is enabled by leaving the device in between opened and closed, like a laptop. This can be used in many ways but the highlights are the aforementioned photo modes, allowing for easy, freestanding selfies and more settings on screen while you still see the bigger picture.
Another is the FlexForm space. Designed exclusively for Find N2, the mode will display all your most used and most recent apps for easy access. You can also use OPPO Find N2 like a mini laptop, using one side to select and navigate while keeping your film or app in full-screen.
