OPPO has taken their first steps in the international foldables market. Emboldened by the success of their Find N and Find N2 devices in their home market, OPPO announced that OPPO Find N2 Flip would see select worldwide markets get the impressive flip phone.

OPPO also announced that Find N2 Flip would be the company’s first device to come with four years of major ColorOS updates. Perhaps more importantly, OPPO Find N2 Flip will come with an incredible five year of security updates.
Flip Side
OPPO Find N2 Flip is slim and gapless with a matte finish offering a fresh look for the novel form factor. OPPO aims to make the style mainstream by tackling the major bugbears that flip-style devices have had in the past.
Find N2 Flip features a powerful chipset, ample battery, SUPERVOOC charging and is the lightest flip device to date.
The outer screen is the largest ever seen on a flip-style device with a 3.26 inch diagonal. OPPO have also gone all-in on creating a special UI for that outer screen so user’s can fully avail of the form.
The vertical orientation of the outer screen allows more usability and versatility. For example, users can preview six messages at once as well as reply to them. Other handy features designed for the outer screen include quick voice record and quick dial.
Users can even customise their outer screen with animal emoji. It also features a customisable always-on display.
All Aboard
OPPO Find N2 Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ making it competitive with non-fold, non-flip premium devices. The device features the fastest charging speeds of any flip device as well as dual-SIM 5G.
The display is exceptional. A 6.8 inch E6 AMOLED with an anti-reflective coating and a 1600 nits max brightness guarantees excellent outdoor performance. The 120Hz refresh rate is variable with LTPO tech onboard.
And all of this weighs no more than a premium non-foldable at 191 grams. When unfolded, the device is just 7.45mm thick.
Next-Gen Flip Camera
OPPO Find N2 Flip’s flagship 50MP main camera features a large Sony IMX890 sensor with an f/1.8 lens. Combined with the large outer screen, selfies are unmatched. Interestingly, OPPO Find N2 Flip’s 17:9 aspect ratio cover screen is the same vertical orientation as your phone’s camera sensor. This will help keep cropping to a minimum.
With FlexForm Mode, OPPO Find N2 Flip holds its position mid-fold between 45-110 degrees for waist-level dynamic angles and evocative 4K time-lapse video.
FlexForm Mode also turns your flip phone into a tripod-steady, hands-free camera. Just part-fold it, place it on a surface and then trigger the shutter release with an open palm gesture – perfect for group shots.
Co-developed with legendary camera manufacturer Hasselblad, the OPPO Find N2 Flip captures pro-grade colours, a fully featured Professional Mode, and its unique XPAN mode freezes time in a wide, cinematic frame.
Long Lasting Flip
OPPO Find N2 Flip fits a large 4,300mAh battery in its compact body – the biggest battery in any flip phone. OPPO are confident that users can flip the whole day with their N2 Flip.
MediaTek and OPPO also collaborated on an optimised version of its flagship Dimensity 9000+ chipset to work best with the Find N2 Flip. OPPO are also confident their innovative Flexion Hinge can last the distance. The Flexion Hinge has been tested to 400,000 folds – around 10 years of use.
OPPO has included the fastest charging of any flip phone in the N2 Flip – 44W SUPERVOOC. This can take the battery from nearly empty to 50% in just 23 minutes. Charing to 100% take less than an hour.
Price and Availability
OPPO Find N2 Flip will be available in Ireland later this year with local pricing and colour options to be confirmed.
N2 Flip is available in the UK from 2nd March 2023.
