Ubisoft have announced that Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch during Monday 28 June’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is set for release on 20th October 2022 and pre-orders are now open.
The game sees Bowser join returning Rabbids Peach and Mario along with Luigi and Princess Peach to prevent Cursa, a malevolent cosmic entity, from plunging the galaxy into chaos.
Cursa and its minions are determined to consume all the energy in the galaxy. Attempting this by hunting the Sparks, uncanny creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas & Rabbids.
Players will have to locate and save the Sparks to have them join the adventure.
Finding Sparks opens up new tactical possibilities to help Heroes get the upper hand in battle.
Sparks also offer unlocks like in-battle actions and upgrade paths for players.
Heroes each have special abilities which players can pair with Sparks to unlock. In addition, the game’s heroes each all have a distinct power and personality, ranging from energy shields to powerful elemental attacks.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope sees our crew embark on an epic journey through the galaxy. The game also explores a variety of planets letting players meet their many curious inhabitants.
Along the way our heroes can complete one-of-a-kind quests to free them from Cursa’s evil influence. Ubisoft have also promised a variety of bosses and cameos drawn from the deep well of Rabbids lore.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope mixes turn-based tactics and real-time action which harks back to Mario RPGs of yore.
The game boasts a novel combat system in which players use their Heroes to dash at enemies, team jump on allies, hide behind covers, or take advantage of their special abilities in order to get the most out of every turn.
The game aims for a tactical adventure to test new players and experts of the genre alike.
