Having just released a remake of Demon Souls for PS5, you’d be forgive for thinking that Bluepoint Games would step out of the spotlight. But, according to numerous outlets, they look set to release a remake of a PlayStation classic in 2021.
According to the YouTube channel, Moore’s Law is Dead, Bluepoint is going to release Metal Gear Solid remake sometime in 2021. Bluepoint have become renowned for their remakes after Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 and most recently, Demon Souls.
Numerous little Easter eggs in Demon Souls are believed to be connected to Metal gear Solid with players posting on twitter of their findings.
There has also been a post from Bluepoint Games about the “Symphony of Rumours” that said: ‘ Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween.“
It’s not exactly hidden very well and surely it could only mean a Metal Gear Solid remake. Neither Konami or Bluepoint Games have publicly commented on the rumour. PlayStation has also yet to confirm of deny. However, it’s not that surprising.
Currently, PlayStation has absolutely no need to drop fresh trailers for exclusive titles given that PS5 sells out almost instantly when it appears online. You also have to consider Xbox’s difficulty with producing exclusive games. Something tells me that Sony will wait for Microsoft to announce an exclusive or two and the drop the mic with MGS remake.
Major changes will have to happen with Metal Gear Solid given that the game mechanics are pretty poor by todays standards.
