Samsung in Mid-Range AI Push with Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G

Samsung is doubling down on its plan to put its advanced AI in every pocket. The company has announced Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, two new mid‑range devices that lean heavily on the firm’s growing suite of AI tools. The pair arrive with upgraded hardware, longer software support and a design refresh that brings them closer to the flagship Galaxy S line.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G leads the charge. It is slimmer, cleaner and pitched as the most capable A‑series phone to date. Samsung says the goal is simple. It wants more people using AI every day, not just those buying top‑tier devices. Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing for Samsung’s MX division, says the company is focused on “widening access” rather than chasing headline‑grabbing experiments. According to her, the new phones show how AI can help with the basics as much as the big ideas.

AI Tools for Everyday Use

Both devices run One UI 8.5 and ship with what Samsung calls Awesome Intelligence. It is a mix of new features and refinements designed to make the phones feel more helpful without demanding much from the user.

Voice Transcription is one of the headline additions. It sits inside the Voice Recorder app and can turn calls, voicemails or meeting recordings into text. It also supports translation, which should be handy for students or anyone juggling international work.

AI Select is easier to trigger with a long press on the Edge Panel. It can pull text from images or suggest quick actions without digging through menus. Drag and Drop support in Multi‑Window mode makes it easier to move images into Samsung Notes or Photo Editor. It is a small change but one that should make multitasking feel less fiddly.

Easy Edits

Photo editing gets a lift too. Object Eraser now produces cleaner results when removing people or clutter from the background. Best Face on Galaxy A57 5G can work across more shots and continuous bursts, which should help with group photos. Filters and Edit Suggestions return, while Auto Trim on Galaxy A57 5G offers quick video clean‑ups for social posts.

Circle to Search with Google gains multi‑object recognition. Users can highlight several items in a single image and get results for all of them at once. It is a neat trick for shopping or identifying accessories in a photo.

Samsung is also pushing its device agents. Bixby has been updated to handle more natural language commands for settings and features. Gemini steps in for more complex tasks across Samsung apps and selected third‑party services.

Camera Upgrades for Day and Night

Samsung has not forgotten the basics. Both phones use a 50MP main sensor backed by a refreshed Image Signal Processor. The company says the new ISP delivers sharper images with better colour balance across a range of lighting conditions.

Nightography has been improved on both models. Low‑light shots should look cleaner with less noise and more accurate colours. The A57 5G goes further with enhanced image processing and a faster shutter. Samsung claims it can capture fleeting moments with more clarity and less blur.

AI scene recognition helps with portraits and skin tones, while the ultra‑wide lens and 5MP macro camera return for wider landscapes and close‑up detail.

Performance and Design

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G gets the bigger performance bump. Samsung has upgraded the CPU, GPU and NPU to support smoother streaming, gaming and content creation. The phone keeps a slim profile with a glossy finish and a raised triple‑camera island that echoes the flagship design language.

A 5,000mAh battery powers both devices. Samsung says Galaxy A57 5G can last up to two days on a charge. Super Fast Charging 2.0 can hit around 60 percent in half an hour.

The display is a Super AMOLED+ panel with slimmer bezels and Vision Booster for better outdoor visibility. Both phones carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Longevity and Security

Samsung is promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches. That is a strong commitment for mid‑range hardware and should appeal to buyers who want a phone that lasts.

Enterprise Edition and Pricing

Enterprise Edition versions of both phones will launch alongside the consumer models. These come with up to seven generations of OS updates, a three‑year enhanced warranty with next‑business‑day replacement and a two‑year product lifecycle. A one‑year licence for Knox Suite Enterprise Plan is included.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G starts at €619 for the 256GB model. Galaxy A37 5G starts at €459 for 128GB. Both will be available from 10 April on Samsung.com in a range of colours.
