Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 15T, in Ireland, marking a notable shift in the brand’s T Series. Once focused on trending photography, Xiaomi says T-Series’ new lineup now combines advanced mobile technology, refined design, and elevated imaging capabilities.
Enhanced Imaging with Leica Collaboration
Xiaomi 15T Series features a triple rear camera system developed in partnership with Leica. It includes a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens, offering focal lengths from 15mm to 92mm. This range allows users to capture sweeping landscapes or zoom in on fine details with ease.
The 50MP main camera is equipped with a Leica Summilux lens, offering an ƒ/1.7 aperture on the standard model and ƒ/1.62 on the Pro. This setup delivers vivid colours and sharp contrast, even in low-light conditions. Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 computational photography platform further enhances image quality, with PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0 improving depth, tone, and colour accuracy.

Portrait photography is bolstered by Master Portrait mode, which introduces new bokeh effects such as Wide and Bubbles. Users can also manually adjust aperture and focal length. For spontaneous shots, Leica’s street photography mode offers quick access to classic focal lengths directly from the lock screen.
Video capabilities are equally impressive. The Xiaomi 15T supports 4K HDR10+ recording at 30fps across all lenses. For creators seeking more control, 4K 60fps 10-bit Log recording with LUT input is available, offering flexibility in post-production.
Connectivity in Challenging Environments
Xiaomi introduces Astral Communication, a suite of technologies designed to improve connectivity. A standout feature is Xiaomi Offline Communication, which allows direct voice communication between 15T devices over distances up to 1.3km without relying on mobile networks or Wi-Fi. This could prove useful in remote areas such as forests or hiking trails.
The Surge T1S Tuner works alongside GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular signals to maintain stable connections. Paired with the Super Antenna Array and AI Smart Antenna Switching, users can expect reliable performance whether streaming, gaming, or navigating.

The 15T Series also debuts Xiaomi HyperOS 3.3, which brings faster app launches, improved multitasking, and a refreshed interface. Enhanced interconnectivity and system-level intelligence via HyperAI aim to boost productivity and streamline content sharing across devices.
Immersive Display and Smooth Performance
Xiaomi 15T features a 6.83-inch display with a peak brightness of 3200 nits and a sharp 1.5K resolution. This ensures clear visibility even in bright conditions and delivers vibrant visuals for photos, videos, and games.
A 120Hz refresh rate supports smooth scrolling, while 3840Hz PWM dimming reduces flicker, making the display more comfortable for extended use, especially in low-light settings.

Under the hood, Xiaomi 15T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, offering improved CPU and GPU performance. A 5500mAh battery supports 67W HyperCharge, enabling quick top-ups. The battery retains up to 80% capacity after 1600 charging cycles and can power on in under four seconds when flat.
To manage heat during intensive use, Xiaomi has introduced the 3D IceLoop System. This cooling solution separates vapour and liquid, using a 3D bulge to direct heat away from the CPU and evenly distribute it across the device, ensuring sustained performance and comfort.
Design and Durability
Xiaomi 15T Series combines performance with elegance. Its unified glass fibre back and battery cover create a seamless exterior, while the flat frame and rounded edges offer a modern look and comfortable grip.
The Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display offers double the scratch resistance of its predecessor. The device is IP68 certified, meaning it can withstand water depths of up to three metres and is resistant to dust.
