Xiaomi Surpasses Market Expectations Reporting Strong Q1 2025 Performance

Xiaomi Corporation posted revenue of €13.58 billion in Q1 2025, a 47.4% year-over-year (YoY) increase, with adjusted net profit reaching €1.31 billion, up 64.5% YoY.

Smartphone revenue grew 8.9% YoY to €6.18 billion, while IoT and lifestyle products surged 58.7% YoY to €3.94 billion. Xiaomi’s smart electric vehicle (EV), AI, and new initiatives generated €2.27 billion, with 75,869 units of the Xiaomi SU7 Series delivered.

Xiaomi reclaimed the top spot in China’s smartphone market, reaching 18.8% share, while maintaining a global top-three ranking. The company also saw record growth in IoT and home appliances, with air conditioner, refrigerator, and washing machine shipments increasing significantly.

Smart EV revenue continued strong, with 235 sales centers opened across China and production ramping up to meet its 2025 target of 350,000 vehicle deliveries.

Xiaomi plans to invest €24.4 billion in R&D over the next five years, focusing on chips, AI, and operating systems. In May, it unveiled its 3nm XRING O1 SoC, reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation.

Deliveries of the SU7 Series totalled 75,869 units during the quarter of 2025. Additionally, the company is expanding its EV sales network, with 235 smart EV sales centres opened across 65 cities in China.

Commitment to Innovation and R&D Investment

Xiaomi plans to invest €24.4 billion in research and development (R&D) over the next five years. The company’s R&D personnel reached a record high of 21,731 employees, with spending growing by 30.1% YoY to €818 million in Q1.

Notably, Xiaomi unveiled its self-developed 3nm XRING O1 SoC in May. The chip marks a key milestone in its core technology strategy centered around chips, AI, and operating systems.
