Virgin Mobile have unveiled their sponsorship of a new interactive experience called ‘CineGame’ which is launching exclusively at ODEON cinemas across Ireland.
‘CineGame’ is a Virgin-branded game played on the big screen by the audience at the cinema. Audience members control the pre-film game with their phones via an app. They could even win prizes by competing against others in the crowd at every movie.

CineGame is available for both iOS and Android devices in Ireland with an in-app branding takeover by Virgin Mobile to feature in Ireland.
Virgin CineGame Comes to Ireland
Interactive gaming on-screen is currently live across eight countries in Eurasia and Oceania with the experience is proving to be very popular. Virgin’s CineGame is the first ever interactive mobile game to come to the big screen in Ireland. It also represents the first Virgin sponsorship of its type worldwide.
CineGame combines the fun of gaming with social experience of the cinema. Cinemagoers connect to the cinema screen via their mobile device to play games with their friends and to compete against others in the auditorium.
Before every movie showing, a 3D on-screen avatar alerts the audience to a game. Our intro-bot shares the game code, to input into their CineGame app.

As participants join, they battle each other on the big screen in a landscape created uniquely for Virgin Mobile. Players then race on-screen with prizes sent straight to the players’ phones. Prizes can then be redeemed at any ODEON food and beverage stand.
Take-Home Play
Between cinema visits, people also have the chance to hone their CineGame skills. Players can play ‘always-on’ games within the app to unlock special seasonal prizes from Virgin Mobile.
