Sony has introduced the HT-S2000 3.1ch Dolby Atmos Soundbar, a DTS:X soundbar with an upscaler to offer a 3D surround experience with a stereo signal. Sony HT-S2000 uses a centre channel in its 3.1 layout to deliver crystal clear dialogue.
The soundbar also uses audio processing to deliver a wide and vertical soundscape without additional speakers.
Connected Entertainment
Sony HT-S2000 3.1 Dolby Atmos Soundbar is the first device to be compatible with the company’s new app.
Sony | Home Entertainment Connect app gathers all of your entertainment devices and systems into one app, giving you full control over your environment in the palm of your hand.

Users can set their Sony HT-S2000 up using the Sony | Home Entertainment Connect app. The app will guide you through initial settings and give full control of volume, sound fields and more right from a smartphone. The app can also make recommendations and keep your soundbar updated.
Sony Surround Engine
Sony HT-S2000 uses the company’s Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force Pro Front Surround system to create a cinematic surround sound. The soundbar uses Sony’s proprietary sound engines to deliver compatible Dolby Atmos and DTS:X without extra speakers.
Sony Vertical Surround Engine places audio above the listener while S-Force Pro envelopes to the sides.
And using a newly developed mixer, users can experience three-dimensional surround from stereo content. Users can upscale stereo content from video or music, from the internet or over Bluetooth.
The Sony-developed mixer can also separate different elements of the audio feed. By analysing the audio in real time, the unique tech can isolate voices, sound effects and musical instruments.
