Elegoo has introduced its latest addition to the 3D printing world, the OrangeStorm Giga Industrial FDM 3D Printer, highlighting an expansive build volume of 800mm x 800mm x 1000mm. This vast size caters to more extensive model printing requirements, potentially eliminating the need to segment models for efficient printing.

The printer boasts a 64-bit 1.5G clock speed quad-core processor (SOC RK3328), which aims to provide substantial computing power. This is claimed to support print speeds up to six times faster than its competitors, maxing out at 300mm/s, although 150mm/s is the recommended rate. Silent drives on the XYZE axes suggest a quieter operational environment.
Hotter Headbed And Nozzle
The printer also includes an efficient heated bed of four independent 410*410mm PEI magnetic high-temperature platforms. They can heat up to a maximum temperature of 90°C. The bed design allows for simultaneous or individual heating to save energy.
Elegoo has integrated an upgraded nozzle design, which can endure temperatures up to 300℃. This nozzle is said to ensure a smoother and more consistent material extrusion. The device can handle up to three additional nozzles on the X-axis for multi-nozzle printing. However, users should note that multi-material printing isn’t currently supported, and multi-colour printing has specific operational nuances.
One-Click Auto Levelling
Other features include one-click automatic levelling using a high-precision sensor, high-quality craftsmanship emphasizing durability, filament detection and power loss recovery mechanisms, and a robust cooling system.
