Carbon Footprint
Trading in your smartphone is more than getting a few bob back on something you don’t need anymore. Recycling, refurbishing or repurposing phones are also excellent ways to reduce waste.
The launch of this trade-in offer marks another significant green step for Vodafone. The company had announced in 2021 that its entire Irish operations including mobile and fixed networks, data centres, retail and offices were 100% powered by electricity from renewable sources.
Anita Carra, Consumer Business Director at Vodafone Ireland said of the announcement that “Almost 5 million smartphones in Ireland that can be repurposed or recycled to help the planet.
“So we are delighted to launchtrade-in online, which offers customers a quick and convenient way to trade in their smartphone”
“This new offer ultimately extends the life of mobile devices, reduces waste and encourages Irish consumers to embrace a circular green economy”
