Xiaomi Redmi K40 + K40 Pro Specs Leak and Set For Reveal Next Week

The specs for the long-awaited Xiaomi Redmi K40 and K40 Pro have allegedly leaked just before it’s set to be revealed at an event next week.

This series of phones is renowned for flagship-level specs usually found in Samsung and Huawei phones, for a fraction of the price. According to the website, 91mobiles, the K40 and K40 Pro will sport 6-67 inch display with Xiaomi’s own MIUI skin on top of the latest Android offering.

Xiaomi has made massive improvements in their MIUI software with the last few updates with a far greater focus on customisation and user privacy and security.

Redmi K40 Pro

Both of these devices will be 5G-enabled with a hefty 4,420 mAh battery as well as having the latest Snapdragon 888 inside the pro model at least. There are murmurings that the non-pro model will have the Snapdragon 870 processor which is essentially a overclocked Snapdragon 865. So. Many. Snapdragons. The 870 is still an absolutely phenomenal chip that handles everything you can throw at it with ease.

It’s alleged to have the same 108-megapixel camera found on the Mi11 Ultra, a 144hz IPS LCD screen that’s also HDR 10+ capable. The full list of possible specs can be found on gsmarena.com.

All these specs sound great but you really want to know about the price, right? Well, it’ll first launch in India for the equivalent of approximately €400 give or take. So, when can we expect this device to launch in Europe and what brand will it go under when it does launch here?

If we look at what Xiaomi has done previously, it seems that thses phones will most likely launch under the Pocophone brand in Europe. We’ve just reviewed what was known as the the Redmi K30 Pro outside of Europe and the POCO F2 Pro inside. i’d say we’ll see the European edition of the K40 + Pro by the summer, at the earliest.
