Insomniac Games has revealed the next-gen upgrades you can expect if/when you purchase the Spider-Man Remastered edition this November.
Posting on the PlayStation Blog, Insomniac Games talked about the graphical upgrades along with the much sought after 60fps performance mode.
In a surprising move, the studio decided to recast the face of Peter Parker. This, along with “higher fidelity skin, eye and teeth shaders to individually-rendered strands of hair,” will bring a fresh realism to the 2018 classic.
Spider-Man Remastered will also take advantage of the PS5 SSD with near-instant load times, although if you did enjoy those little clips of Spiderman on the subway, you can turn them on.
It will also use the Dualsense controller’s new features like adaptive triggers and haptic feedback to create a more immersive experience. Raytraced reflections are going to feature in the game as well, however, we don’t know if they’re included in performance mode.
Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 is the best selling PlayStation exclusive of all time selling more than 13.5 million copies worldwide. You can’t really blame Sony for remastering it given those figures.
Finally, Insomnia tried their damndest to coherently explain all the different options you’ll have to consider when buying Spiderman Miles Morales. Head on over to the PlayStation Blog to try and work it out.
