Zockrates Laboratories and Phiphen Games have officially announced the release date for their highly anticipated 3D platformer, Ruffy and the Riverside. The hand-drawn adventure will simultaneously launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on 26th June 2025.
Innovative Gameplay Mechanics
Ruffy and the Riverside introduces a unique SWAP mechanic, which allows players to copy and paste textures within the game world. This groundbreaking feature enables creative problem-solving and world manipulation, like turning ice into lava or waterfalls into vines.
Players will navigate through the quirky open world of Riverside, engaging in exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving.
A World of Adventure
The game offers a rich, open-world experience across seven distinct regions. Players will embark on playful side quests, master challenges, and collect magical treasures.
The adventure doesn’t stop at 3D; when the three-dimensional world ends, Ruffy leaps into 2D levels for even more treasure hunting and obstacle navigation.
