Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of the best adventures I’ve had in a decade. You owe it to yourself to try it out on Nintendo Switch.
Breath of the Wild was set against a battle-scarred and defeated Hyrule, thanks to the succession of Calamity Ganon. Whilst its narrative touches on the incredible battle(s) surrounding this hostile takeover, we actually know very little about it. Nintendo has been working closely with the Warriors team at Koei Tecmo to make sure this is a story to remember.
Nintendo would have laid out extremely strict plot points to stick too, but this is a big deal. Does this mean that Nintendo is now focusing in on the Zelda franchise taking place in Breath of the Wilds incarnation of Hyrule?
The overall design of the Islands, characters and wildlife are great. The initial presentation of Windbound makes for a full-fat RPG / Survival experience. It's a solid game underneath its appealing aesthetic but is let down by poor execution and lack of polish. It's a shame to see a title with such promise fail to live up to expectations.
With a generous array of features to keep gameplay fresh for hours, Minecraft Dungeons overcomes the sometimes repetitive nature of its level design.
New players will find Genesis a great entry point into the lore of the franchise. But veterans will get that little bit more from the experience.
ITTA is an indie gem that is well worth it’s under €15 price tag, there’s little to complain about at the price point. It’s hard to find a title in this price range that offers a compelling story, a surreal atmosphere and some brilliant gameplay.
Pikmin 4 captures what makes the series so compelling, so joyous and so addictive then throws in one of the goodest boys in video games
