Huawei has announced the launch of the medically certified Watch D in Europe, with what it says will be the first ECG and blood pressure monitoring device.
Huawei Watch D enables wrist-type ECG and blood pressure monitoring anywhere in real time in a device that weighs just 40.9g. The device uses mini pump to measure blood pressure accurately anytime. Huawei Watch D arrives in Q4 to the European market as a certified medical device.
The Huawei ECG functionality is similarly certified so you can trust the measurements are accurate.
Watch D Breakthrough
The two sensors represent a significant breakthrough. Until now, the accuracy of the blood pressure measurement was often being affected by the tightness and wear position of a subject’s watch.

But thanks to Huawei Watch D’s high-resolution pressure sensor, feedback pressure control circuit and low-flow airway, the pressure measurement system can attain a margin of error of within ±3mmHg.
Professional ECG Features
Huawei Watch D also supports heart rate measurement. The device is equipped with ECG sensor module that supports recording ECG data. It also generates ECG reports that can detect atrial fibrillation and sinus rhythm in real-time.
The device supports ECG monitoring that reminds the user to take heart measurements as soon as any abnormality is detected.
Huawei Health Assistant
Watch D features scientific sleep monitoring, all day SpO2 monitoring, skin temperature detection, stress monitoring and more. The device is equipped with more than 70 workout modes.

When using smart mode, Watch D offers 7 days’ battery life. This mode switches sensors and features on and off throughout the day, preserving power for when you need each of the power-hungry functions.
The watch learns your schedule and, like Huawei’s smartphone AI stamina management, gets better as it gets to know your habits.
