Health-Focused Smartwatch
Fitbit Sense 2 tracks your heart health with sensors that can detect signs of atrial fibrillation through our ECG app and PPG algorithm.
Both the ECG and PPG are approved in the US and EU. Sense 2 also tracks heart rate variability, skin temperature and more.
The device can also aid in managing stress with the company’s new Body Response sensor. Fitbit Sense 2 is the the first on-wrist continuous Electrodermal Activity sensor (cEDA) for all-day stress management.
Fitbit Premium, which is included with all new device purchases for six months, adds features like Daily Readiness Score and Sleep Profile. Premium also offers over 1,000 workout and mindfulness sessions.
Fitbit Features Hit Ireland
The company also announced that it is bringing Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications to Ireland, following its CE Mark approval.
The Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications feature uses Fitbit’s PPG (photoplethysmography) algorithm. IHR Notifications passively assesses the user’s heart rhythm in the background while they’re still or sleeping. If there’s anything that might be suggestive of AFib, you’ll get notified via the Fitbit app so you can talk with your doctor for a more informed discussion and assessment.
