EA Sports has unveiled the next-gen enhancements players of FIFA 21 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can enjoy when it launches on December 4th.
So what are some of the upgrades that players can expect compared to the PS4 and Xbox One edition?
First up, we have a new and improved ‘Total Matchday Experience‘. New game cinematic including seeing the team bus arrive at the stadium, fans entering the stadium through turnstiles and seeing players walk through the media zone to their changing room.
‘Big Goal Moments‘ is the next new feature that will add to players immersion. Let’s face it, some goals mean more than others and now you’ll see that come to life in FIFA 21. Different and more intense celebrations from the squad of last minute winners or an equaliser in a relegation battle
Audio is going to play a big role in both the Series X/S and PS5 and with FIFA 21, players get to experience “Atmospheric Audio‘. Thousands of chants from grounds throughout the football world – including La Liga and the Premier League – will make players feel like they’re in the terrace supporting their team.
EA Sports GameCam takes inspiration leading broadcasters by giving you a fresh perspective on the action.
Finally, Live-Light Rendering is a new ultra-realistic deferred lightning system that will show off the worlds biggest stadiums like the Santiago Bernabéu and Anfield. Subs, the crowd, stewards, managers and stadium materials will all be shown off in incredible detail.
Feeling the Game on PS5 and Speed
Other improvements include haptic technology which is exclusive to the PS5, improved player physics thanks to the upgraded Frostbite engine, super fast loading times thanks to the high-speed SSD’s inside PS5 and Series X/S and improved on-pitch battles.
The next-gen version of FIFA 21 launches on December 4th and is a free upgrade to all those who buy the PS4 or Xbox One version. A separate PS5 and Series X/S version can be bought for €69.99.
